Ridna Marka, Etalon Weissbier (Ukraine) 
(RP) Etalon Weissbier comes from a brewery in Kiev in the Ukraine and is inspired by Bavarian wheat beers. The region where the brewery is based is rich in hops, soft water and barley. The beer is unfiltered and is a blend of wheat malt and barley malt, and is fermented by a special wheat beer yeast strain at a warm (i.e.ale) temperature. It is bronze in colour, with a good fluffy head of foam and a characteristic Bavarian wheat beer aroma and palate of cloves and banana, with creamy malt and gentle hop bitterness. It is deeply refreshing. The beer won the 2004 Tesco �Best New Imported Beer� award and is now exclusive to Tesco stores. 5.0% ABV, 50cl, �1.79, Beersofeurope, Onlyfinebeer, Tesco. |  |
